My first life choice was as an actor having received a BFA from a performing arts conservatory. Life handed me challenge after challenge allowing me to learn the skill of resiliency and the desire to improve myself, which, in truth, was a grueling process. A process, I imagine, that might be similar to your own at this challenging time.
In the years that followed I explored various life choices and professions that revolved around human connection and relationships. It was during this time I discovered my gift of connecting with people and eventually became a Certified Parent Educator using the art of Nonviolent Communication (NVC).
After studying early childhood education and neurological development, I started work at a preschool where I stayed for many years. I still relish teaching Parent Education at the preschool to this day. I then developed a deep knowledge of early early human development and become a childbirth educator. I continue to adore teaching childbirth education at a birth center in Silverlake.
It was clear to me very early in my career that I had a passion for working with couples. Everything I have learned in communication and parenting has enriched my ability to work with couples and parents. In addition to my level 3 Practicum Training in Gottman Method, I use the Intimacy From the Inside Out (IFIO) and IFS methods to help couples have courageous communication, a skill that can break the persistent cycles where couples often find themselves stuck.
I warmly welcome all diversity and lifestyle choices into my room and strive to support the health of individuals and their relationships.
